This session brought people together for an evening of repairing, learning, and spending time together — in collaboration with RELOVE and Deichman Tøyen.
Participants came in with clothes that needed a bit of care, and spent the evening fixing small tears, reattaching buttons, and giving their garments a second life. Along the way, we explored simple repair techniques and creative ways to reuse and repurpose clothes.
RELOVE chairman guided the session, showing how to use sewing machines and sharing practical tips based on their work with repair, redesign, and reuse. It made the process feel approachable, even for those trying it for the first time.
Beyond the hands-on work, the evening opened up conversations around how small everyday actions like repairing what we already own can make a difference. It was a reminder that sustainability doesn’t always have to be big or complicated.
The space at Deichman Tøyen made it easy for people to sit together, talk, and learn from each other; making the whole experience feel relaxed, social, and welcoming.
